VELA Performance is an internationally operating full-service engineering provider in the automotive and non-automotive industry.
As a lightweight engineering specialist, we develop high-performance components and systems for automobiles, commercial vehicles and bikes and even build complete prototypes in our in-house workshop.
Our technologies are also used in aviation and medical technology.
Your tasks & job description:
development of surfaces from design to industrialization
development of exterior and interior components as well as connections and design of the integration components from the concept phase to series production in collaboration with the suppliers (focus on Class A space creation),
implementation of innovative solutions taking technical feasibility into account
carrying out concept studies for the vehicle exterior/interior
derivation of system requirements from customer inquiries
creation of work packages and specifications
Your abilities:
completed engineering studies in the fields of automotive technology, plastics technology, industrial design, product design or comparable
ideally already professional experience in the structural design and support of exterior components
ideally experience with CATIA ICEM Shape Design, alternatively ICEM Surf and/or Alias Autodesk (Class A surfacing)
experience with the implementation of pre-development, small series projects in the automotive sector
social skills, high communication skills, confident and convincing demeanor as well as creativity, independence and enthusiasm
very good knowledge of German and English
